Leslee Frumin, a bead and metal artist from San Juan Capistrano, California teaches off
loom bead weaving and metal/jewelry techniques. Leslee has published and won awards
in both areas and her work has been featured in trade magazines in the US and abroad.
She loves to teach. Her goal as a teacher is to create a fun and successful learning
experience. Her passion for all the colors and textures made possible by beads, metals
and stones keep her excited. If Leslee could add another 24 hours to a day to work on
designs, she would be thrilled. Leslee got her start in Michigan. In 1986, she started
taking metal work classes at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. In the early ‘90s she
started stringing beads. She attended her first GLBG meeting in about 1994. Leslee has
been grateful to GLBG for helping her hone her beading skills by providing so many
opportunities to learn from fantastic artists. Leslee is excited to return” home” albeit by
zoom to teach her new designs!

About the Event - Friday, February 28th, 2025 - Queen of Diamonds Necklace and Las Ventanas Bracelet
The necklace and bracelet use the same component setting but are arranged
differently. Queen of Diamonds Necklace features 4 settings that are turned to a 45
degree angle giving the diamond shape. It has a unique chain that fits comfortably
around the neck. Las Ventanas is a bracelet that has the settings sitting squarely next to
each other giving the appearance of windows. Both pieces are stunning. Queen of
Diamond Earrings kits are available for students, who wish to add beautiful earrings to
their wardrobe. Stitches: Peyote, Ndebele and the Neck chain are unique stitches. This
is an intermediate to advanced level project. There are 8 kit color choices (see below).
Kits for the bracelet are $76 and the necklace kits are $78. There is one mailing fee
regardless of how many kits you order. Choose one or both. Plan to work on one kit in
class. Kits include all materials to complete the project. Students supply their own
Fireline 6 lb.
There is a pre-work assignment that makes it possible to accomplish more in class. The
focus in class will be on making connections, the clasp and chain. There is a video to
assist you. There is also an optional kit you can order: Earrings $40
