The GLBG is excited to invite all bead enthusiasts to three-days of classes with the renowned bead embroidery artist Holly Bean: www.hollybean.com. Holly's unique style of beadwork is sure to captivate your imagination with its whimsical and intricate designs, particularly her animal-based works.

The Anishinaabe

The Anishinaabe is a large group of different Native American tribes living in the Great Lakes region. This design celebrates their beautiful dress. Beautiful beaded flowers are created on black ultra-suede. The pocket part can hold a couple of credit cards/ID cards. The necklace is (2) 10” strands of beaded rosary chain with a 5” extension chain. The fringe is removable. 

Kit Cost: $130.00 6 hour class, all levels.

  • REGISTRATION for current Guild members BEGINS WITH A July 5th POSTMARK.
  • Earlier postmarks will not be considered. Non-members may register beginning July 19th .
  • Class fees are $80 per day. Guild members are discounted to $40 per day.
  • Class sizes are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis by postmark date.
  • All registrations are by mail only. Registration/checks received with postmarks earlier than July 5th will be returned.
  • If necessary, a lottery will be held for available spaces with each day’s postmark.
  • Checks will be returned if the class has been filled.
  • Classes are for ages 18 and over. Only the person registered for the class may attend.
  • Fees for all classes are due, in full, with the registration form.
  • Classes will meet at Finnish Cultural Center at 25200 W 8 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, 48335. Classes meet from 9 am to 4 pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
