Volunteers are always needed to help out on Guild committees and during the Bead Bonanza shows.
Benefits of volunteering include:
1) Meeting other beaders who are fun to work with!
2) The opportunity to display and sell your beadwork at the "Bead Bonanza" shows in the spring and fall.
3) For donating just two hours of your time, you receive free admission to the "Bead Bonanza" shows and a gift, and the opportunity to win "Bead Bucks". "Bead Buck" names will be drawn at a future guild meeting. All shifts are about TWO hours, but you can sign up for more shifts if you want! Different duties include:
- Gate Keepers: Cheerfully greet anxious bead buyers - collect $3 admission fee - stamp hands.
- Runners: Cheerfully and happily walk among tables and tables of beads and smilingly ask vendors if they need any help, such as getting food
for them or guarding their tables while take a quick break.
- Membership Table: Explain, with glee and enthusiasm, how wonderful it is to join the Bead Guild and collect those fees and applications.
- Member Gallery and Member Sales: Proudly show off & sell the fine beadwork of fellow beaders.
- Hospitality Room: Rest your weary feet in the Hospitality room while you greet fellow beaders as they report for their work shifts. Get to see all the “goodies” other volunteers purchase when they come in for a break.
- Door Prize Tales: Smile and collect names for an hourly drawing.
- Food Vendor Table: Assist Food Vendor during the lunch hour.
